Instructors Courses

Students interested in becoming certified ski or snowboard instructors can enroll in the CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors) Level 1 course or the CSIA (Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance) Level 1 course.

Each program includes the ‘Pre-course’ component, which is 10 hours in length spans a 2 week period. During these sessions students partake in both on-hill training sessions and in-class seminars covering basic vocabulary and terminology that will be covered in the 3 day examination at the courses end.

Our qualified instructors are both highly experienced ESL and ski/snowboard teachers/instructors. Current course leaders Emma and Janette have 15 combined years instructing experience and are also full-time ESL teachers at IH.

Groups are small and personal attention is therefore maximized.
