IH Whistler will be closed this Friday and Monday for Easter. Some IH Whistler students make a trip to Vancouver to enjoy the long weekend! Happy Easter everyone.

IH Whistler will now be offering Mountain Biking Camps for the summer of 2010! Programs will run from June 12 – July 30th. Join for as little as 1 week or for the entire 6 week season. Downhill riding with pro coaches who know the mountain. Combine biking + English, or just bike all day! Improve your skills, meet new bikers and have fun!

The 2010 Paralympic winter games kick off Friday March 12th and Whistler has the honor of hosting the majority of the events, including what is sure to be a huge celebration, the Closing Ceremonies on Sunday March 21st!

With just 2 weeks to go 'til the Opening Ceremonies February 12th, IH Whistler staff and students eagerly await the games and many plan to attend some of the sport events and nightly free concerts in the village. Locals are saying it will be so crazy here, it will feel like New Year's Eve every night for 14 nights!

International House Whistler is working in association with Whistler Blackcomb to hire international ski instructors. These jobs will come with visas and study permits for IH Whistler. All students will have the opportunity to be here for the Olympics and have mountain access to view some of the events.

IH Whistler's Office Manager Tina Gonnella has won the Whistler Mini-triathlon. With all the weeks of harding training, we now understand why she was always late for work. Congratulations Tina!!!
